Vårholma Värmdö

The house has a large, lovely terrace with patios in several directions and a sheltered location.

The welcoming hall has a small seating area, as well as a niche with a washing machine.
On the entrance floor you will find the heart of the house; the beautiful living room with ceiling height open to the ridge and fully glazed gable. The room has large social areas with a modern and well-equipped kitchen as well as a large dining area, sofa, reading armchairs, TV, and fireplace. Sliding doors to the lake side and the balcony with dining area, barbecue, lounge furniture and sun loungers.

Bedrooms 1 and 2 both have 180 x 200 beds with spring mattresses
Bedroom 3 has a 120 x 200 bed with spring mattress and an armchair.
Dressers are available in all rooms and all have a glass door to the terrace.

A spiral staircase in the hall leads up to the spacious and bright loft with standing height,
there are 2 comfortable beds, both 180x200, armchairs and TV. NOTE. The loft can be used for occasional guest accommodation but does not have the option of blackout.

Vårholma is an approximately 3 km long and 1 km wide island in the Stockholm archipelago. It is located in the middle of the archipelago, north of Lindalssundet at Värmdö. The regular archipelago boats go to the island daily all year round. From the jetty to the house, it takes about 8-10 minutes to walk along a path. You can borrow an electric wheelbarrow from the owner to transport bags and grocery bags, etc.

Vårholma consists of mountains, forest and meadows. Here the clouds disperse and the sun illuminates the island from early morning until late in the evening. The island is large enough for a walk, run or visit to mushroom and berry forests.
There are plenty of bathing spots on the island, these are located in Norrgärdesviken and a jetty located on Lindalssundet next to Vårholma jetty. There is also a large swimming area facing Bjurön.

You can go by boat from central Stockholm, a 1.5-hour journey. Normally 3 trips daily. Guests with cars can go to Lillsved, Värmdö where private parking can be offered, the boat journey takes only 6 minutes. Guests who have their own smaller boat can be offered a boat berth on the island.

In summer, you can take Waxholmsbåten to charming Vaxholm, where you will find shopping, restaurants, cafes and ice cream bars as well as grocery stores. There is also a large park with a playground and mini golf. Vaxholm is a hub for regular boat connections to Stockholm and other islands in the archipelago.

At Lillsved (approx. 5 minutes regular boat journey) there is a nice summer cafe with service in a boathouse and outdoor seating by the jetty. There is also a large selection of exercise loops and hiking trails as well as kayak rental.

Maximum number of guests per booking is 5 people, but there are more beds that can be used for occasional overnight guest stay by agreement with the owner. It is important that you are careful with the water consumption as there is limited water and sewage capacity in the house and on the island.
